First, thanks for the compliment on some really amateurish poems. :)

About languages, well, I guess they do make a difference, but only to a little extent. Consider this, originally written in Spanish. The English translation is so simplistic, yet so beautiful.

I think some languages have more words to express emotions, making them more beautiful than others. With whatever little I have read, personally I find Urdu to be the richest language with some of the most beautiful words (try this poem by Faiz Ahmed Faiz), Hindi and English are probably close. At the end of the day, however, it's the author I guess - a Madhushala is almost as good as some of Ghalib's works.

Honestly written post. 4 years ago I was as miserable myself and the worst skier standing( because i had to stand up after every fall). apne man mein socha aur kitna giroge? Want to know what happens with you 4 years later now.. As for me I am skiing the green slopes with some flair enjoying the fruits of the my sweat labour since then.Btw is the Born spectator from Ogden Nash's poem?

Do you plan to go again for this? I had some thing like this but it was not skiing , it was ice skating. I didn't fall much, just 1 or 2 times since I was overly cautious. That experience taught me two things. One , its not easy to learn..not at all. Second those cute little kids are everywhere doing it so easily.
